Son Skate Nationals 2008

Why, if in almost every skate park in the world you’ll find blades, boards and bikes sharing space, aren’t there any combined national competitions that cater for all of these extreme sports? They might be different in nature but they’re all off-shoots of the same culture. From the 5th to the 7th of December 2008, Lifelight Youth (sponsored by God) filled the gap yet again, bringing the SON SKATE NATIONALS, a cross-disciplinary competition, to The Shed, anindoor skate park in Stellenbosch, for the second year running. Now officially an annual competition, it’s set to rock The Shed every December from here on out.
