Do you think there is a lot of competition amongst the b-boys in S.A.?
I think there is a lot of competition but not lots of competitions to compete in and that’s what is lacking in the South African b-boy industry. There are a lot of guys practising but there aren’t a lot of places for us to showcase our talent and skills. In terms of Europe they have a lot of competitions every month so guys tend to push themselves even harder. Here the competitions are scarce and battling is the essence of breakdancing for me.
Who is your biggest competitor?
I think every guy out there who is pushing himself and the boundaries of b-boying, trying to be more creative or turn up the level and standard of b-boying in this country is my competitor.
