Chris van der Merwe

Ok, we know that all the rollerbladers in S.A. know who you are, but introduce yourself to the rest of the guys and gals out there:
My name is Chris van der Merwe, I’m 25 years old, been rolling for 13 years. I grew up in the Free State in a small town called Virginia.

What was it about rollerblading that got you hooked on it?
First it was street hockey, then I saw my older brother doing a 360 on rollerblades and it was the coolest thing. I also liked rollerblading because it is an alternative sport which means there’s lots of freedom in it.
