South africans have very strong and sometimes disturbing headlines to deal with. the cape of good hope piece was a 3 day climb into our process of dealing with these headlines and intercepting them...
holding them in time for all to see....
for a moment the wall stands in the grimy near district of gympie street and calls you to maintain your focus on messages that otherwise fly past in indirect moments...
its horrorific calmness captures the mood of the area and of the thought behind the work....
its dark and its a product of 29 years of growing up in this little sea side town of beauty and pain...
